KATHMANDU, JUNE 18Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha has directed the concerned authorities to ensure that there is no shortage in the treatment of the people injured due to natural disaster in various districts of Eastern Nepal, and relief and proper management of the survivors.

In an emergency meeting held today in wake of heavy loss of property incurred due to floods and landslides in Panchthar, Sankhuwasabha and other districts in eastern Nepal, he instructed to build a bridge to facilitate traffic at Hewakhola on the Mechi highway.As of now, three people have died in that area and 29 people are reported missing.
Some bridges have been swept away and nearly a dozen bridges have been damaged.
Some houses have also been washed away.
Following the instructions of the Home Minister, the bridge materials have been sent from Itahari said Anil Pokharel, chief executive officer of National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority,He said that as there will rain again later today and tomorrow in the east, there is a need to be more cautious.
